It provides short-term, low-cost, preventative health services for families in need of nutritional support. WIC foods add protein, iron, calcium, vitamins A and C. Participants may receive milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, juice, legumes (dried peas and beans), peanut butter, whole grain foods, fruits and vegetables, tuna, carrots, infant formula, and infant cereal, fruits, vegetables and meats.
