Description:: Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), is a special supplemental nutrition program for low-income and working families; Services are available for pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, and children up to the age of five; It is a short term intervention program designed to influence lifetime nutrition and health behaviors for high risk populations; WIC provides quality nutrition, breastfeeding promotion, a monthly food package and access to maternal, prenatal and pediatric health care services.
