Description:: The WIC program is a special supplemental nutrition program for pregnant, post-partum, and breastfeeding women, and children up to age five. Participants receive individualized nutrition assessments and education by registered dietitians about proper nutrition during critical stages of growth and development. Participants also receive free nutritious foods such as milk, eggs, cheese, peanut butter, beans, cereal, fruits, vegetables, iron-fortified baby formula and more. A board certified lactation consultant is on staff to assist with breastfeeding concerns.
