  • The WIC Supplemental Nutrition Program fulfills the Community Action mission by providing nutritious foods and nutrition education to help low-income households provide healthy foods for pregnant, breastfeeding women, babies and small children. Children start school with improved ability to learn. Women learn how to provide healthy foods for their families. WIC also provides referrals to other helpful services. WIC empowers families to become self-sufficient by assisting them at a crucial time in their lives.
