Comment from taqueya spriggs: I am a WIC recipient and a transitioning vegan. During my current weight loss journey of becoming a vegan and changing my eating habits, I have discovered that unsweetened almond milk and vegan or nondairy foods are healthier. Both my pediatrician and my primary care physician have recommended these foods to me and my children. If possible, may the dairy products be changed to unsweetened almond milk and nondairy cheeses?
