  • WIC is a free health and nutrition program created in 1972 to help low-income families. It helps pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children under age five to eat well and stay healthy. WIC provides free healthy foods, breastfeeding support, nutrition counseling and referrals to other helpful services and community resources. To apply for WIC benefits, you must make an appointment at your local WIC agency.
