  • WIC provides nutrition education, referrals to other services and checks for healthy foods to pregnant women, new and breastfeeding moms, infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines or are on medical assistance. A family of four can earn up to $3,739 each month (or $863 each week per household), and still meet income eligibility requirements. Foods offered include fresh fruits and vegetables, cereal, milk, cheese, eggs, peanut butter, canned beans and infant formula that you purchase from local grocery stores. WIC supports breastfeeding of all babies; and provides breastfeeding support, classes and individual counseling for moms and babies.
