  • WIC welcomes all pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, as well as infants and children under the age of 5 who meet the PA WIC eligibility requirements. Working families may qualify and are welcomed and encouraged to apply. One of the most successful publicly funded health programs in the United States is the Women, Infants, and Children's' Program (WIC). Community Action has operated the WIC program in Fayette County since 1974. The goal of the program is to ensure the healthy development of children during the important development years which starts prior to birth and continues through age 5.
