The foods WIC provides are fresh, canned or frozen fruits and vegetables, whole grain foods, milk, fruit juice, infant formula, cereal, eggs, peanut butter, canned or dried beans and peas, canned tuna fish & salmon and cheese; Help getting immunizations and lead screening for your children; Practical advice on food shopping, recipes, taking care of babies, and how to breastfeed; Information on healthy eating during pregnancy, breastfeeding and tips on feeding your child; Referrals to doctors, dentists and programs like Food Share, Badger Care, Food Pantries, Maternal & Child Health Nurses, Smoking Cessation Programs and other healthcare or community programs

- The purpose of the special supplemental nutrition program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children (under age 5). WIC provides supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition and breastfeeding information, and referrals to other health and nutrition services. WIC promotes and supports breastfeeding.
