  • WIC is a supplemental nutrition program that provides services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children up to their fifth birthday to help them eat well and stay healthy. The program is based on nutritional risk and income eligibility. Participants receive health screenings, risk assessment, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support and referrals to health care. Supplemental food is provided at no cost to participants.
