  • The Newton County Health Department has been offering WIC services since 1982 for the residents of Newton County and the surrounding area. WIC provides many nutritional benefits that improve health outcomes, including a supplemental food package designed especially for each participant, nutritional education and counseling (including breastfeeding promotion and support), and referrals to other health care and public assistance agencies.
