- Description
- The Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides basic nutritious foods to: Pregnant women; New moms (up to six months after delivery); Breastfeeding moms (up to one year after delivery); Infants; Children under age five. You must live in Indiana and meet income guidelines. When you apply you will receive a personalized nutrition assessment to see if the program is right for you. As a WIC applicant you will visit the clinic for a free visit to be enrolled and to pick up your checks. At the appointment you will receive nutrition support, and learn about other services you can use to help your family. The checks can be used at local grocery stores for cereal, juice, milk, cheese, eggs, peanut butter and formula.
