  • The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a federally funded program, by USDA, through the California Department of Health Services. It is a nutrition education and supplemental food program that helps pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children under five to eat well and stay healthy. Program staff provides individual and group nutrition education and counseling; breastfeeding education and support, supplemental foods, and referrals to health care and other supporting agencies.
