WIC offers nutrition information, breastfeeding support, lead screening, referrals to other health services and vouchers to purchase healthy food. The supplemental foods include iron-rich cereals, whole grains, fruits, fruit juices, eggs, peanut butter, dried beans, vegetables, milk, and iron-fortified infant formula. WIC's Farmers Market Nutrition Program is available June through September. Vouchers for this program can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at various farmers markets.
