  • WIC is a special supplemental food program for women, infants, and children. The program provides nutrition education and free supplemental foods to eligible persons. The nutrition education is accomplished through individual and group counseling sessions. The foods provided are intended to supplement the existing diet with important nutrients. Food distribution is made through the issuance of checks redeemable at participating grocery stores.
