The WIC program provides vouchers for nutritious food, nutrition counseling and health information to pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, and for infants and children up to the age of 5 years. All services are by appointment only. Nutrition counseling is available on a limited basis to other Health Department clients.

The Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program is a federally funded supplemental food program for pregnant, postpartum or nursing women, infants, or children under five years of age. Clients must meet income and geographic eligibility requirements and be at nutritional risk. The Fairfax County Health Department provides services at nine WIC sites.
