The WIC Program is federally funded Supplemental Nutrition, Education and Referral Program for Women, Infant and Children. WIC provides many benefits to pregnant women, breastfeeding moms and babies, moms with a baby younger than six month, infants and children who are younger than five years old. Applicants must meet guidelines for income and residence. Those who receive Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) automatically qualify. Did you know you can work and still be eligible for WIC? Working families meet income guidelines with proof of a month's worth of paystubs.
